BIO’S
WINNIE ROCKENTINE: I have been a resident for over 30 years. My husband Owen Rockentine and I moved our family of five here in 1992. Our three daughters attended public school in the Bloomfield Hills Schools District and graduated from the former Lahser High School. I was a manager/coach for my church’s women’s softball team for over 20 years and as the treasurer for my women’s group for many years. Recently, I retired from an accounting and finance firm in Troy where I was an accountant and tax preparer. I spent eight years with the company assisting small businesses and individuals with their accounting and tax needs. I continue to have my own tax preparation business on a part time basis. I have a bachelor’s degree from Oakland University in English/Secondary Education and a business degree from Oakland Community College. I hope to bring my years of experience in board governance and financial management to the subdivision board to assist in improving our community where needed while maintaining a friendly atmosphere that makes this a well-sought-after place to live.
ED TILLERY: My lovely wife and I have lived in this neighborhood since 1976, and we are proud to have raised our three beautiful daughters here. I joined the Board approximately 10 years ago to help improve our infrastructure, and I am writing to express my interest in continuing to serve our community. During my tenure, I managed the transition to cost-effective LED streetlights and have been diligent about reporting road maintenance needs to the Township. (sometimes they even listen!) Additionally, I coordinated the installation of the safety mirror at the intersection of Traymore and Lancaster to improve visibility for pedestrians. I look forward to the opportunity to continue assisting the neighborhood and building on these improvements.
GLENN WILCOX: As a longtime resident, I believe it’s important to have engaged homeowners step forward with fresh perspectives, strong values, and a commitment to fairness. I would be proud to serve and help continue improving our neighborhood. A little about me:18-year U.S. Army Veteran (Military Police), Federal Officer at the VA Detroit, Former Ordinance Officer Village of Lake Orion, Volunteer Police Officer for Lake Orion, Father of 3 (Way Elementary & North Hills Middle School), Currently a Lunch Para Supervisor at Way Elementary. If selected, my focus will be: air & consistent enforcement of HOA rules, clear communication & transparency; a practical, respectful approach to resolving concerns; keeping our neighborhood clean, safe, and well-maintained. I believe our community benefits from new voices, fresh ideas, and doing things the right way.
*** Please complete the included Ballot and bring with you to the Annual Meeting on June 16th. If you are unable to attend, please give your sealed ballot to a neighbor who is attending, or drop it in the flagpole mailbox at Marlborough and Hillsdale Road with your name and address.

Proposed Amendments
Amendment 1: Now that the neighborhood has connected to the Township water system, we no longer need to have a “Water” committee chair. We propose amending Article V, Election of the Board of Directors, Section 1 by reducing the Board of Directors from 9 members to 7 members. This would include 4 Officers, Social Chair, Communications Chair, eliminate Water Chair, and combine Deeds and Restrictions with Streets and Lights so we can maintain an odd number of positions. Additionally, we propose adding the language under this article stating that “Any member on the board must remain in good standing during the tenure of their position regarding their HOA dues.”
Amendment 2: We no longer have access to St. Paul’s Methodist Church for our annual meetings. We propose amending Article IV, Section 2, Meeting Schedule, Item A to state that the “Annual Meeting will be held at 7:00 PM on the third Tuesday of June each year at a convenient location determined by the sitting Board.”
Amendment 3: SBHIA no longer distributes water to the neighborhood, thus we propose striking any and all references of SBHIA distribution of water services from the bylaws.
Vote on Well-Lot Sites
We have one well-lot site located on Marlborough Road, and one located on Somerset Road. After sending out a questionnaire and creating a committee to investigate potential opportunities for these sites, it was concluded that most neighbors who responded are interested in selling one or both sites, and redistributing the proceeds amongst members of the association who are in good standing.
PLEASE CHOOSE 1
I support selling 1 well-lot site.
I support selling both well-lot sites.
